Coloka Technologies ("we", "our") operates the DrivePrep Québec application ("the app"). This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.

1. Information collected

1.1 Data stored locally on your device

The app stores, only on your device:

  • Your language preference (FR / EN)
  • Your completed lessons
  • Your best exam score
  • Your answers to practice questions (for the "Review mistakes" feature)

This information never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

1.2 Data processed by third-party services

The app displays ads through Google AdMob and uses Google Firebase Analytics. These services may collect:

  • Advertising ID
  • Approximate IP address
  • Ad interaction events
  • Technical information (device model, operating system, app version)

This processing is governed by Google's policies:

2. Consent (EEA / UK / regulated regions)

Where required by law, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect your consent before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time via the "Privacy options" entry on the home screen of the app.

3. Children

The app is intended for people legally able to obtain a driver's licence in Québec (16 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

4. Retention

Locally stored data is kept for as long as the app is installed. Data processed by Google is kept according to Google's policies.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (Québec, EU, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise those rights, write to support@coloka.ca.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. No system, however, is 100% secure.

7. Changes

This policy may change. Updates will be posted on this page and the date above will reflect the change.
